Defiant uni non-academic staff continue strike

Non-academic staff from universities island-wide held a protest opposite the University Grants Commission (UGC) today. The strike launched by non-academic staff at 14 Government universities entered its 10th day today. The workers continued their strike into the tenth day despite the UGC warning yesterday that all non-academic staff members who are in training and under probation will be considered as having vacated their posts if they did not report to work today.
