Abu Bakr Mohamed, a suspect who was deported from Dubai this morning has been handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) for further investigations.
The suspect was arrested upon his arrival to the Bandaranaike International Airport was questioned by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
The CID, during the questioning discovered that the suspect had maintained close links with underworld leaders 'Makandure Madush' and 'Kanjipaani Imran'.
Accordingly, he was handed over to the CCD for further investigations, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.

Ajith Gallage, the owner of a Bird Park in Nagarawawa, Hambantota, has been remanded over allegations of concealing illegally imported motorcycles, in a warehouse owned by him.
