Sri Lanka's Consumer Affairs Authority has permitted the country’s LP Gas suppliers to increase the price of a gas cylinder with effect from midnight (Friday) today.
The Authority has taken this action considering a decision taken by the Cost of Living Committee, official sources said.
The price of a 12.5 kg LP gas cylinder will be increased by Rs. 158y, one of the main suppliers of domestic LP gas told the Times Online.
This price has been revised due to the increase in gas prices in the world market, sources revealed. (Bandula)
