Dullas Alahapperuma who was among those who protested outside the Bribery Commission on Thursday carrying distorted version of the National Flag apologized for the blunder and said there won’t be a repeat of such an incident. “This is a very serious matter. I wish to apologize and say we regret that a wrong version of the national flag was on display at the protest,” Mr.Alahapperuma told reporters at a press conference this morning. He said that a flag had been thrust into his hands amidst the chaos of the protest and had not realized that the flag was minus the stripes that represent minorities. -Chandani Kirinde
