EC to instruct state officials against misusing state property during election period
The Elections Secretariat will instruct state officials including ministry secretaries to avoid the misuse of state property during the run-up to the presidential elections, an official said.
Meanwhile, the polls body has also informed the public to contact their Grama Niladhari officers or to visit the Elections Commission (EC) website to confirm if their names are in this year's electoral register.
Eligible individuals whose names have not been included have been requested to inform the EC before September 19.
