Special application forms for youth between the ages of 15 and 18 will be issued this year to ensure that access to voting for these groups is granted at the appropriate time, Election Commission (EC) official said.
These forms will be distributed by the Grama Niladhari officers in the respective localties, the official noted.
Accordingly, youth who are of an eligible age to vote, will be issued a reminder by the polls commission to enter their particulars in the voter registration forms which are issued annually.
