Estate workers will receive a total of Rs 800 as a daily wage, Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera said at a media briefing a short while ago.
"The wage which stood at Rs 700 was increased upto Rs 720 following the signing of the collective agreement. However, state workers would now receive a total of Rs 800 inclusive of EPF and ETF deductions," he said.
