The Special Investigation Board which was tasked with probing the Easter Sunday attacks submitted its final report to the President today (Jun 10).
Justice Vijith Malalgoda who headed the three-member Investigation Board handed over the report to the President. Board members former ministerial secretary Padmasiri Jayamanne and former police chief N.K. Ilangakoon were also present.
The Investigation Board was appointed on April 22 to probe into the Easter Sunday bombings and identify its root causes along with other related matters, the President's Media Division said.
The ad hoc investigation body had submitted two interim reports on the investigations to the President on earlier occassions.
