A fire erupted at the ladies hostel of Jaffna University this evening leaving brought under control by fire service vehicles shorly.
The fire believed to be originated from a dorm in the first floor and destroyed three adjacent rooms completely. Police is conducting further investigations on the incident. No deaths or injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. The extent of the damage is yet to be determined.
