A fire had erupted at the Gal Oya National Park at around 4 pm yesterday (Jul 28), Police said.
The fire had been doused by the Police and Wildlife officers.
No casualties were reported as a result of the fire and the assessment of the damages is yet to be made.
Further investigations are currently underway.
