Fire erupts in surrounding areas of Muthurajawela forest reserve

A fire has erupted in the surrounding areas of Pubudugama and Bopitiya in the Muthurajawela forest reserve. The Sri Lanka Air Force has taken steps to assist in dousing the fire.

According to reports an Mi-17 helicopter of the Air Force transported more than 2000 liters of water while dousing the area eight times from above.
