Five suspects have been arrested today (Nov 12) for allegedly assaulting a female member of the Ridimaliyadda Pradeshiya Sabha last week.
Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said the incident had taken place in Mahiyangana last Sunday (Nov 10).
The suspects, as identified by the Police, are residents of Mahiyangana between the ages of 41 and 48. They will be produced before court in due course.
