Some airlines have already cancelled flights to Colombo in view of the travel ban imposed by the government on arrivals to the country over the coronavirus outbreak in Sri Lanka.
Singapore Airlines issuing a circular stated that they had cancelled from March 19-26 SQ 468 (SIN-CMB) and from March 20 – 27 SQ 469 (CMB –SIN).
The airline’s office operations are said to remain as per normal during this time, the statement said.
Meanwhile, Emirates Airlines has stated that it would operate flights out of Colombo until March 21 as per schedule and would announce thereafter of its flight schedules.
SriLankan Airlines is to operate outbound flights until March 22 while Qatar Airways will operate till March 21 and are scheduled to operate reduced flight schedules. (SD)

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has interdicted Colombo Fort Magistrate Kosala Senadheera.
The Supreme Court today refused interim relief in an application filed by President’s Counsel Senaka Walgampaya seeking an Order from the Supreme Court compelling the President to appoint judges to fill the existing vacancies in the Court Of Appeal.
The deadline for online applications to the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination has been extended until July 12, the Department of Examinations said.
