Former UPFA Central Province Minister Thilina Bandara has obtained his membership at the UNP earlier today (Dec 12).
Mr. Bandara had obtained the membership by calling on UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees.
General Secretary of the UNP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, MP Lakshman Kiriella and MP M.H.A Haleem were present at the occasion.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
