Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is slated to make a special statement in Parliament tomorrow when it convenes at 10am.
MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara speaking to media at a briefing held at the Prime Minister´s office confirmed this a short while ago.
Mr. Nanayakkara further said that the letter submitted by the Speaker regarding the developments in Parliament including the No Confidence Motion signed by more than a 100 MPs has not been accepted by the President
At today´s convening of Parliament a no-confidence motion was brought against former President Mahinda Rajapaksa by the JVP. The motion was passed by a majority show of hands. However the UPFA have refuted the legality of the vote and Parliament was adjourned till 10 am tomorrow
