Former President Maithripala Sirisena is set to skip the independence day celebrations at the Independence square in Colombo tomorrow.
A Public Administration official said his office has been informed that the former President will not attending the event.
Also Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka too has informed that he will not be attending the celebrations tomorrow.
The celebrations will be presided over by President Gotabhya Rajapaksa.
