Four persons have been further remanded for smuggling mobile phones into the Boosa Prison for imprisoned underworld criminal M.N. Mohamed Imran alias 'Kanjipaani Imran'.
The suspects including the father and brother of the convict had been remanded until October 9 by the Galle Chief Magistrate's Court yesterday (Sept 25).
They had been arrested on September 12 in a failed attempt to smuggle two mobile phones and its chargers by concealing it in two buckets.
