Four youths who were found guilty of murdering an individual in Grandpass in 2007 were sentenced to death by the Colombo High Court today (May 07).
The suspects had murdered the victim identified as Steven Chandran on December 02, 2007 in the Grandpass area by attacking him using poles and sharp weapons.
The Attorney General had initially filed cases against five individuals at the High Court over their alleged involvement in the crime. However, High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi had acquitted the remaining suspect from the case today.
