The road from Ceramic Roundabout to Lotus Roundabout has been closed due to a protest which is taking place in the vicinity of the Galle road.
The protest has been organised by the All Island Service Executive Officers' Joint Committee owing to certain salary anomalies in their respective sectors.
The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) has also joined the protest, police said.
