The G. C. E. Ordinary Level Examination which was scheduled to be held from January 18 to 27, 2021 will not be held on the dates scheduled dates, Minister of Education Prof. G. L. Peiris said.
The Minister said that the new dates will be announced 6 weeks prior to the new date of examination.
Prof Peiris said that nearly 50 per cent of the Grade 11 students currently finds it difficult to carry on with their academic activities due current COVID-19 situation.
The possibility of holding the examination will be explored by analyzing the situation in the country every two weeks, Minister Peiris added.
