General amnesty for Air Force deserters
The Government has declared a General Amnesty for Airmen/ Air women who have deserted the Sri Lanka Air force during the period from June 2009 to December 2014,a statement from the Air force said. " The General Amnesty extended previously for all airmen and air women who deserted the air force before 31 May 2009 is still valid and they also may surrender to Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters and completed their clearance fonnalities without undergoing a punishment," it said.
