The government is planning to present the discussion paper on the proposed constitutional reforms for public discussion, Presidential Secretariat said. Presidential adviser on constitutional affairs, senior attorney Jayampathy Wickramaratne told a news conference that a discussion paper on the proposed constitutional reforms will be submitted for public discussion during the next few weeks. He observed that the discussion paper has already been submitted to all political parties to discuss and make recommendations. According to Wickramaratne, the government is committed to introduce the proposed constitutional amendments within its 100 day programme.
