Mr. Tusk had pledged support to improve economic relations, while also pointing out the importance of dialogues on human rights, civil liberties and the rule of law.
Ambassador Asirwatham previously served as Ambassador to Netherlands and Nepal and also as a Consul General in Bonn, Germany.
