The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the State University of Ruhuna will re-open on July 29, the University management announced today (Jul 26).
Further, academic sessions for final year students at the Faculty of Management and Finance will also resume next Monday, the management said in a press release.
The release noted that academic activities for first-year and third-year students at the faculty are yet to resume while studies for second-year students are currently underway.
The Ruhuna University had been completely closed off following clashes between students and non-academic staff earlier this month. Three faculties had resumed academic activities since then.
