Officers of the Department of Immigration and Emigration at the Bandaranaike International Airport have taken steps to deport a Palestinian national who arrived in the country today (May 11).
The Palestinian national aged 26 years was pursuing higher education in India and arrived in the country via Bangalore on a temporary visa.
When immigration officials questioned the individual regarding the purpose of his visit to Sri Lanka, he was unable to give a proper answer. Further he was unable to furnish details of accommodation in the country during his stay.
