Due to the adverse effects of the oncoming cyclone Burevi, there have been disruption to transport and damage to houses in several areas in the Northern Province, District Disaster Management Unit said.
Apart from the wide-spread damage, a fisherman who had gone to sea from Ponnalai area has gone missing, District Disaster Management Unit said further.
