All incoming passenger flights to Sri Lanka will be halted with effect from midnight tomorrow, the Task Force on coronavirus which met at a meeting presided over by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa decided today.
However, outgoing flights and incoming cargo flights will continue to operate.
At the meeting they also decided to send a special flight to New Deli to bring back 170 Sri Lankans held up there. They had gone on a pilgrimage.
