The Galle Road will be closed in the morning hours for Independence Day procession rehearsals this week.
Local media reported that rehearsals will be conducted on roads surrounding the Galle Face roundabout to Old Parliament, on February 1, 2, and 3.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
