Minister of Public Administration, Ranjith Madduma Bandara has said that measures would be taken to penalise inefficient public servants.
Minister Bandara speaking to the media following an event in Colombo said today (Dec 22) that discussions are underway to propose laws in order to impose punishments on civil servant who adopt a lethargic approach at work.
He added that these measures would be taken on behalf of the people despite any trade union action.
