The Inland Revenue Department, this month, will introduce a Platinum Privilege Card for individuals who pay income tax in excess of Rs 10 million annually, its Commissioner General Nadun Guruge said.
Mr. Guruge explained that those who pay Income Taxes and Withholding Taxes amounting between Rs 10 million and Rs 50 million on time will receive this special card.
Accordingly, platinum card holders will receive special benefits such as obtaining concessionary loans, and access to the VIP lounge at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
So far, the Inland Revenue Department has introduced gold and silver privilege cards which are issued to individuals who pay taxes more than Rs 1 million and Rs 500,000 respectively.
