Inmate dies at Batticaloa prison
An inmate at the Batticaloa Prison died this morning (Sept 6), Police said.
The deceased has been identified as a 27-year old resident of Valaichchenai.
He had been remanded on court orders after being arrested over a brawl on September 4.
The remains of the deceased currently lie at the Batticaloa District Hospital.
