The Inter University Student’s Federation is to join in the protests over the deaths of two Jaffna University students in universities around the island, local media reported.
Student at the Jaffna University are currently engaged in a protest outside the Jaffa District Secretariat, against what they allege is police involvement in the death of two of their classmates.
The two third year students at the Arts Faculty had been returning home on a motorcycle, after a party at one of the boy’s homes and had allegedly met with an accident resulting in their deaths.
The postmortem report however revealed a bullet lodged in the body of the student manning the motorcycle.
