Johanne Jayaratne was appointed as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) by Tourism Minister John Amaratunga today (May 14).
Mr. Jayaratne had been serving as Managing Director of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Board (SLTPB) prior to his appointment at the SLTDA.
The post of SLTDA Chairman fell vacant following the resignation of Kishu Gomes from the said position this year.
The newly-appointed SLTDA Chairman had also previously served as Executive Director of the Airport and Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
