Kandana and Mahabage isolated, 36th COVID death reported
Kandana and Mahabage areas have been declared as isolated until further notice, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID- 19 Outbreak said.
An 84-year-old female from Kandana died at the Infectious Diseases Hospital marking the 36th COVID-related death, the Government Information Department said.
The cause of death has been determined as COVID virus triggered pneumonia. The deceased who has been suffering from various ailments for a long time was transferred to IDH from a private hospital.
