A close accomplice of underworld criminal Kanjipaani Imran was arrested in Gampola earlier today (Mar 13).
The suspect identified as Mohamed Shiyam alias 'Jeebumba' was arrested by personnel attached to the Special Task Force (STF), Senior DIG M.R. Latiff said
STF personnel said that the suspect was a wanted criminal in several murders and was also involved in the shooting of Kanjipaani Imran's mistress recently.
Another individual who was with the suspect has also been arrested, STF said.
