Dunesh Priyashantha alias 'Kondaya' was released on bail this morning by the Gampaha Magistrate Tikirige Jayathilake in connection with two cases, local media reported. Priyashantha was produced before the Magistrate on charges of entering a residence and assault. The Magistrate ordered the suspect be released on two sureties of Rs.50, 000 each. He was first arrested by police in connection with the rape and murder of a five-year-old girl in Kotadeniyawa. However, his DNA failed to match with the foreign samples found on the girl's body. The Minuwangoda Magistrate released him from the case on October 19. Meanwhile, Priyashantha's brother is in remand custody over the Kotadeniyawa rape and murder
