Police will implement a lane law from Colombo and five surrounding roads starting from Monday, April 6 to April 10. Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara speaking to local media said this lane law will be implemented on the following roads: Galle road: Moratuwa to Galle Face, Duplication road: Colpetty to Bambalapitiya, Sri Jayawardenapura road from Borella D.S.Senanayake junction, Kandy road: Peliyagoda to Kiribathgoda, Negombo Road : Peliyagoda to Wattala. The enforcement of Lane Laws is to minimize road accidents and traffic congestion, the Police said and added that legal action will be taken against the drivers who drive across the lanes.
