The Sri Lankan government today condemned the launch of a long range missile by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on February 7, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
"Sri Lanka calls upon the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to abide by its international obligations and desist from any action that would adversely impact on the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula," it said.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
