The Sri Lankan government today condemned the launch of a long range missile by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on February 7, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
"Sri Lanka calls upon the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to abide by its international obligations and desist from any action that would adversely impact on the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula," it said.

A total of 62 dental surgeons will be joining the health service of of Sri Lanka on Monday, December 29.
