The Sri Lankan government is saddened by the crash of a military aircraft carrying armed forces personnel and their families in Medan, Indonesia, which has resulted in the loss of many lives, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a condolence message.
"In this hour of grief, we express our heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of Indonesia, in particular, the families of the deceased. Our thoughts and prayers at this time are with all those affected by this tragedy." the message said.
