A 31-year-old Sri Lankan Tamil refugee set herself afire at a Refugee Camp at Kottapattu in India in the late hours on Saturday. The woman J. Rohini is undergoing treatment at the Mahatma Gandhi Government Hospital, the Hindu reported.
Police sources said a domestic tiff between the woman and her husband was said to have driven her to resort to the extreme measure.
The woman poured kerosene on her body and set herself afire in the refugee camp in the late night hours. The sources said the woman had suffered nearly 40 per cent burns, the report said.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
