People in the Western Province are prohibited to leave the province with immediate effect till mid night on November 15, Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shavindra Silva announced a little while ago.
Earlier today, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa also stressed on the importance of introducing restrictions for those who are leaving the province to other parts of the country in the wake of new COVID-19 clusters being identified within the province.
Meanwhile, all bus services entering and leaving the Western province were also suspended till November 15, according to the National Transport Commission.
