A Malaysian woman has died on board a SriLankan Airlines flight enroute to Colombo earlier today (Mar 11), a senior Police officer attached to the Police Media Spokesman's Office said.
The deceased, a 65-year old was travelling to Sri Lanka on a tourist visa, and had departed from Saudi Arabia and reached the Bandaranaike International Airport at around 4:35 am on SriLankan flight UL 282.
Airport officials said the woman's body was transfered to the Meegamuwa General Hospital after being notified regarding her death by the pilot.
Further investigations are currently being carried out under the directives of OIC Suneth Warnasuriya.
