Man found dead in driver's seat of a car in Athurugiriya

News

The body of a 48-year old was discovered in the driver's seat of a car in Athurugiriya at around 2:15 am today (Jun 05), police said.

Area residents who had discovered the body had notified the police emergency hotline following which investigations had commenced.

The deceased has been identified as Rahula Jayasampath, a resident of Malabe.

A quick autopsy was carried out on the body before it was sent to the Colombo National Hospital, police noted.
