The Meteorological Department has forecast thundershowers today (Apr 18) due to the low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.
Issuing a weather advisory, the Department predicted rainfall above 100 mm in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Uva, Western and North-western provinces and also in the Anuradhapura and Vavuniya districts.
Several other places in the country may face showers above 50 mm today, the weather forecast noted.
