A 65 year old mother of four was killed yesterday after coming into contact with an electric fence that was constructed to prevent wild animals trespassing into residences in Akkaraipathanai, police said.
The victim was identified as 65 year old Kali Kidnaambal, a resident in a tea estate in Akkaraipathanai. Family members said that incident occured when the victim went out to nearby estate land to cut some banana trees for religious purposes.
