Parliamentarian Gamini Lokuge has proposed that employees of the private sector should also be given an allowance of Rs 2,500.
He made this remark during the committee stage debate in Parliament which is currently underway (Mar 18).
MP Lokuge made this proposal during debates which involved around trade unions and non-Cabinet Ministries.
