Deputy Minister of Buddha Sasana and Democratic Governance MP Tissa Karaliyadda was quoted by local media as saying he has resigned from his deputy ministerial portfolio. He was quoted as saying that he has informed President Maithripala Sirisena and the Parliamentary Secretary in writing about this move. He said he resigned from his position owing to political victimisation.
