The Education Ministry has granted permission for Muslim schools to close from August 10 to 17 in keeping with the upcoming Hajj Festival, Muslim Affairs Minister M H Abdul Haleem said.
Minister Haleem noted that permission had been sought from the Education Ministry to close schools prior to the festival which is to be celebrated on August 15 and 16.
Accordingly, two study sessions would be held on August 24 and 31 to cover-up missed lessons during the festival period.
