Navy arrests 26 Indian fishermen
The Navy has arrested 26 Indian fishermen along with 03 Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters in the seas North of Point Pedro on Saturday, Government Information department said.
The arrested fishermen and trawlers were brought to Kankesathurai harbour and were handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Kankasanthurai for onward action, Navy Spokesman Commander Indika Silva said.
