The crew of a Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command, rescued the lives of two Indian fishermen who were drifting in the sea, yesterday, Navy said.
Sailors of the Kachchativu Naval Detachment had seen these two fishers who were drifting along with a regiform platform and as per this information Navy promptly dispatched a FAC for rescue of the distressed.
Accordingly, two fishermen were safely rescued and brought them to SLNS Uthtara onboard the Fast Attack Craft. After basic medical treatment they were handed over to the Kakasanthurai Police for further investigation.
